Dr. Heidi Ittner
yoga teacher (ashtanga vinyasa), bodyworker (osteothai, thai yoga massage, integrated cranio sacral biodynamics)
mediator, teacher, trainer
Born 1972 in Germany, Heidi worked many years in academic psychology research and teaching. During these years in academia she discovered 15 years ago the practice of yoga as a powerful support in a stressful life. However, soon yoga served not only as a counterbalance but became more and more a way of living. In her yoga-path she followed several years the Sivananda tradition and got deeply inspired by Iyengar, Prana Flow and Jivamukti Yoga. In 2011 she finally shifted her focus from working with the mind towards working with the body: She left academia and got trained as a Jivamukti Yoga teacher.
The spiritual home within her heart though, she found in the profound magic and beauty of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and the Sacred Dance of Thai Yoga Massage/Osteothai. Both spiritual practices continue to lighten up her soul and to shape her life with their own particular rhythm. After several years of intense learning (which always continues!) at the Sunshine House, the European „Mecca“ of Thai Yoga Massage, and an Ashtanga teacher training with John Scott and Lucy Crawford, these two gems and her psychological background get woven into each other like pieces of a gorgeous puzzle – framed and held by the precious sanghas of her teachers Lucy Crawford, Greg Nardi, John Scott, Petri Räisänen as well as Rosemary Wallace, Krishnatakis and David Lutt.
Currently, she lives in Munich, Germany and loves traveling 🙂 She teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, gives bodywork treatments and works as a psychologist in the areas of conflict management, mediation and evaluation.
